Our children come from a variety of backgrounds and cultures and each child is treated as an individual. We feel it is important for each child to be aware of cultural differences and to respect the beliefs of others. We talk to the children as much as possible to develop early listening and language skills. We also use a variety of toys and objects to encourage them to play well on their own and with others. This also helps them to develop control over their body and to be interested and alert.

We have a large, fun environment outside, and ensure that the children get fresh air every day. In our garden we have many different stimuliwhich encourages different interactions between children and staff, including a sand pit, climbing frame, a secret garden, a small hut in which the children frequently like to play ‘shop’ in and much more! These all help each child develop more understanding of different activities and ways in which to interact with others.
